I have loved getting back into sessions here in Texas! It has been fun seeking out new locations and learning the area and lighting! I have found a few places that I think will be favorites and am eager to find more! The Woodlands is full of so much possibility and is so beautiful in such a different way than Colorado! I am loving all the lush, thick forest and the different architecture! And, can we just talk for a minute about the golden hour! I love the low light that comes with the flat land! Something that was harder to come by in Colorado for sure! Texas has been awesome to us so far!
Thanks for being such loyal followers and advocates for me! I am excited to share some of my Texas families with y'all soon!

Find Your Perfect Pumpkin
The Woodlands has so many pumpkin patches to go out and find your perfect pumpkin! Make sure to get some good photos while you are there... Here are a few local pumpkin patches and also a few tips for taking great pumpkin patch photos!
- Tip #1 - Try to find an area where there are not a lot of shadows on the face and the pumpkin. If this is not possible, try to have the child look away from the sun so that they are not squinting. Most phones will automatically lighten the face in camera.
- Tip #2 - Get action shots! We tend to only take photos of the posed, often fake smiles! Try to get your child in action finding the pumpkin and playing.
- Tip #3 - Put the camera down and savor the moment! They are only this little once!
