Lee (the director at the Rocky Mountain Children's Health Foundation) was introduced to Sebastian, a wonderful, sweet 6 year old and his amazing mom, Danielle through the Stink Bug Project. The Stink Bug Project is a program of Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation and supports families who have a child diagnosed with a serious medical condition. Partnering with the Prison-Trained K-9 Program at Colorado Correctional Industries, the Stink Bug Project matches well-trained, loving companion dogs with families throughout the Rocky Mountain region. Sebastian and his mom were looking to adopt a dog through the K-9 program... they fell in love with Lulu (who was then Adelle). They soon found out that Lulu would need a costly ACL surgery... The Stink Bug program stepped in to provide this surgery and make sure that Lulu and Sebastian could be together.
I had such a wonderful time getting to know these 3. Sebastian is a very smart, inquisitive, sweet 6 year-old boy. He loves his mom so much and is so great with Lulu. Danielle is such a sweet, kind person. I could tell from her first correspondence that I would love her! And Lulu is as precious as can be! I hope you enjoy getting to know them a little through their photos also!
